Providing an elegant, neoclassical education... Knowledge is power...
      Knowledge is happiness...

At Monticello School we believe the school best serves the student, that best serves the family.

By providing a full day, 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM schedule, along with Tutoring and Study Hall during school hours, we are able to facilate more quality family time. By dismissing students at the end of the day with their school work completed, parents and children are able to relax and enjoy each other’s company during the evening hours. Furthermore, this schedule relieves working parents of the worrisome and expensive task of obtaining “after-school” transportation, child-care, lessons or tutoring. Parents of younger students may arrange for earlier pick-up times if desired.

The longer school day encourages more learning. When compared to other schools, Monticello students are provided with approximately thirteen extra hours of instructional time weekly. This translates into about seventy-five extra days of instructional time annually. Various studies throughout the educational community have documented that the longer school day results in accelerated learning and greater achievement.  However, schools days are broken up with plenty of Arts and Sports activities making for an exciting and interesting, well balanced day.

Ask any parent who has experienced the benefits of uniforms and the response will be a chorus of "Bravo!"s. Overall, uniforms diminish the cost of school clothing and the stress and strain of the morning rush. Children know exactly what they will wear each day. Monticello parents can relax and enjoy that second cup of coffee.
